FREE Pin or Bracelet Offer!
Originally diagnosed with stage II breast cancer at age 32 in 2000, I've been living with stage IV cancer since 2006. From the mundane everyday to the monthly cancer treatments, I chronicle it all in my new blog, called "Ya Only Live Once ... A Survivor's Journey." Ever since being first diagnosed with cancer, I've found it helpful to read accounts of other survivors. How they made it through, how they grew, the good days and bad, how they currently are, etc. We're hoping that our new weblog can become a way for survivors to reach out to other breast cancer sisters ... simply by telling their story. We're also hoping that through the blog, we'll help survivors connect to other survivors. We hope these informative and inspirational stories will touch your lives as they have touched ours.
To reach our goal we need your help. If you or someone you love is a breast cancer survivor and you would like to share your story in the hopes that it will inform and inspire others, please email us your narrative at survivors@pinkribbonshop.com. If we post your story on our weblog, www.thepinkribbonshop.blogspot.com, we'll send you your choice of a pink ribbon pin or breast cancer band bracelet.
The small, seemingly insignificant act of wearing a pink ribbon makes you approachable for others to ask questions or speak up about breast cancer. It's a silent gesture that can open up a line of communication among survivors, friends, family and/or caregivers. It connects you to a community of breast cancer survivors no matter where you are. It's also a simple way to let others know that you support the breast cancer awareness cause.
